Majority Chief Whip labels Speaker Bagbin as 'worst in Ghana’s 4th Republic'
Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has criticized Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, calling him the “worst Speaker” in Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
According to Annoh-Dompreh, Bagbin’s leadership has been marred by bias in favour of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and an alleged disregard for Supreme Court orders, which, he claims, will define Bagbin’s legacy.
Annoh-Dompreh made these remarks while inaugurating a new party office in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, following a Victory Walk with constituents ahead of the December elections. He acknowledged the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) respect for Bagbin’s position but emphasized that the party would not be intimidated by either Bagbin or the NDC.
Despite criticism of Bagbin’s tenure, Annoh-Dompreh reaffirmed the NPP’s resilience, stating, “We have a tough skin” and remain undeterred by the Speaker’s actions.
