Black Stars coach Otto Addo, 2 others survive road accident
The technical team of the senior national team, the Black Stars, was involved in a road accident on Sunday, 1 September 2024.
Head Coach Otto Addo, Assistant Coach John Paintsil, and Goalkeepers Trainer Fatawu Dauda were returning from Tarkwa in the Western Region when the incident occurred
The team was travelling back to Accra after an official assignment to observe the Champion of Champions clash between FC Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC.
All three members of the technical team are reported to be in stable condition.
“We are happy to report that all three members of the technical team are in stable condition and will undergo further medical assessments, as a precautionary measure, upon their return to Accra,” the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said in a statement following the accident.
