Speaker approves NIB’s request to release two MPs for investigation

The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament has granted the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) permission to engage two Members of Parliament (MPs), Mustapha Yussif and Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, in an ongoing investigation.
According to the directive, the MPs are expected to appear before NIB officials for a preliminary interaction on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
The meeting will take place at the Sir Emmanuel Charles Quist Conference Room in Parliament.
The decision comes after a formal request from the NIB to facilitate the lawmakers’ participation in the investigation.
The letter approving the NIB's request was signed by Mr Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, Clerk to Parliament
