Peace and stability more paramount -Zoomlion boss reminds Ghanaians ahead of Dec. polls
The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has called on Ghanaians to safeguard the nation’s peace and stability as the country approaches the December 7 general elections.
Speaking during the company’s annual Thanksgiving Service held at its headquarters in Accra, Dr. Agyepong emphasized the importance of unity and tolerance during this critical period, underscoring that peace is essential for Ghana's continued development.
“Ghana is the only country we have, and it is the only place we don’t need a visa to enter,” he said.
“In other countries, visas are required.
This reminds us of the privilege we have and the need to protect it.”
Dr. Agyepong urged citizens to exercise their civic responsibilities peacefully, ensuring Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of democracy and that stability is maintained during and after the elections.
The Thanksgiving Service, a highlight of Jospong Group’s calendar, celebrates the company’s achievements and reflects on its journey.
Dr. Agyepong described the event as a time to pause, take stock, and express gratitude for the year’s successes.
Reflecting on the company’s humble beginnings, he shared how JGC evolved from operating a manual tricycle to becoming one of Ghana’s leading conglomerates.
“The journey has been inspiring and fulfilling,” he said, attributing the company’s growth and success to the grace of God.
“Jesus Christ is more than enough,” he added, acknowledging the divine favour that has sustained the company over the years.
The event, attended by staff and stakeholders, served as a reminder of the value of gratitude and the role of faith in the company’s continued progress.
