Queen Mother of Apatrapa calls on NDC to support community development efforts
The Queen Mother of Apatrapa in the Kwadaso Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Oheneba Akyeaa Panin, has called on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to provide her community with essential social amenities to uplift the area.
Speaking at a mini-rally held in Tanoso as part of the NDC’s National Chairman’s retail campaign, the Queen Mother praised the party’s contributions to the region, noting that despite the Ashanti Region not being an NDC stronghold, the party has made a significant impact.
Oheneba Akyeaa Panin, who is also a former Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in Kwadaso, pledged her support to the party as both an elder in the community and a leader with a vested interest in her people’s welfare.
During the rally, Mr Eric Assibey, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Kwadaso Constituency, urged party delegates to protect the ballot by arriving early at polling stations to monitor the electoral process.
He emphasized that active participation in the voting and counting processes would help secure victory for the NDC.
Mr Assibey also highlighted key NDC-led development projects in the area, including the Kwadaso market and community schools, and assured constituents that the Women’s Development Bank, an initiative proposed by the party, would significantly empower women if the NDC wins.
Baba Jamal, the Deputy Campaign Coordinator for the National Chairman’s retail campaign, encouraged party members to work diligently on December 7 to remove the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) from power, citing the hardships faced by Ghanaians under their governance.
He expressed confidence that with a concerted effort, the NDC could bring the needed change to the nation, affirming his belief that Ghana will thrive again under an NDC administration.
