A/R: Bosomtwe Girls’ STEM SHS welcomes first batch of students

The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum, has joined the teachers and management of the Bosomtwe Girls’ Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Senior High School (SHS) in the Ashanti Region to welcome the first batch of students.
The cohort reported to school on Friday, 22 April 2022.
A state-of-the-art boarding school, it is among the 10 new STEM boarding schools currently being put up across the country by the government.
It forms part of efforts by the government to increase science enrolment into SHSs which currently stands at 12 per cent.
Speaking during the opening of the school, the minister noted that the school will be provided with everything it needs to ensure its smooth operation.
Dr Adutwum said: “This is going to be a national institution of excellence”.
“The good news is the science labs are done and the science equipment would be coming next week”.
“They have a pick-up. Everything that the school needs is coming.”
The school admits students from all over the country.
