President Mahama joins Tripartite Committee meeting ahead of Cabinet session

This morning, President John Dramani Mahama attended a meeting of the National Tripartite Committee at the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment, just prior to the commencement of the first Cabinet meeting of the day.
In his brief address, the President urged labour unions to take into account the challenging state of the economy as they engage in wage negotiations.
He assured them that if economic conditions improve, his government would prioritize increasing remuneration for workers in the coming year.
President Mahama also emphasized the need to establish an Independent Emoluments Committee to fairly determine the income levels of public-sector workers
