Prince Benjamin (PB) receives Paragon Honour for exceptional journalism: 2024 Eminent Awards
The 2024 Eminent Awards honoured Ghanaian international media personality and journalist Prince Benjamin (PB) for his work exceeding 10 years.
The honourary Paragon award was presented to the radio DJ and entertainment pundit during Accra 100.5 FM’s Entertainment Capital, October 26, together with a citation.
The citation, signed by Director, Eminent Awards, Prince ‘Chilky’ Asiedu, read: “In recognition of your exceptional contributions to journalism and your outstanding dedication to delivering high-quality reporting on the international stage. Your work with Voice of America, Accra FM, and Class FM has positioned you as a leading figure in both Ghanaian and global media.
“With a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professionalism, you have consistently delivered compelling stories that highlight critical issues on both local and international platforms. Your insightful reporting and ability to provide clear, balanced perspectives on complex topics have earned you widespread respect and recognition.
“You have not only informed and educated audiences but have also inspired trust and credibility in journalism. Your impact extends beyond Ghana's borders, making you a true ambassador for Ghanaian journalism on the world stage.
“We say ayekoo!!! Celebrating excellence, encouraging hard work and creativity.”
Guesting on Entertainment Capital, Chilky applauded Prince Benjamin for “the way you smoothly steer your programmes, and demonstrate understanding of issues, makes it a real pleasure to experience”.
The 2024 Eminent Awards dubbed the Triumphant Trilogy, took place at the GNAT Hall, Adabraka, Accra, October 19, recognising exceptional individuals across numerous sectors including banking, agriculture, governance, media, entertainment, fashion, education, and medicine, among others.
Renowned musician and philanthropist Livingstone Etse Satekla, alias Stonebwoy, was declared the 2024 Eminent Artiste (Paragon).
“The Eminent Awards Board observed Stonebwoy is not just doing music. Considering the year under review, he’s graduated from university, he’s encouraged people to pick up forms and return to school, he’s demonstrated one must go beyond music and add value to themselves. His music is inspirational, and gives sound counsel. These and other things informed our decision to name Stonebwoy the Eminent Artiste,” Prince ‘Chilky’ Asiedu explained.
He saluted his indefatigable team, and the 2024 Eminent Man, Hon Prophet Dr Nana Addo Agyekum Asiedu Darte I; the Eminent Woman, Mrs Agatha Amoateng-Boahen, Deputy President, Ghana Registered Midwives Association; and Mrs. Rahmata Issahaq-Pelpuo, Director, Regional Operations, National Communications Authority (NCA), among others.
Meanwhile PB, if he is not writing for classfmonline, and presenting shows or reporting news on the Voice of America (VOA), Class FM or Accra FM, works as a highly sought-after voice talent in the advertising industry, working with brands like First National Bank (FNB), AT, Shell, Prudential Life, and many others.
He is also a songwriter with credits on songs by the award-winning Ghanaian international Highlife Funk band FRA!, TV, movie and music star Adomaa, and star producer and singer Reynolds the Gentleman.
