Sports Ghana congratulates Kofi Adams on ministerial nomination
Sports Ghana, an association of sports advocates in the country, has congratulated Kofi Iddie Adams on his nomination as Minister for Sports and Recreation by President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement signed by the Association’s Public Relations Officer, Suleman Mohammed-Mustapha, Sports Ghana expressed joy and optimism over the appointment, describing it as a crucial step toward reviving the declining sports sector in the country.
The Association highlighted Adams’ impressive track record in politics, having served as a National Youth Organizer, Spokesperson for former President Jerry John Rawlings, National Organizer, and Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency.
“We have the strongest conviction that you will once again excel in this new office pending parliamentary approval,” the statement read.
Sports Ghana pledged its full support to the minister-designate, offering technical ideas and collaboration to help reset the nation’s sports agenda.
The Association also emphasized the need to restore confidence in the Sports Ministry and ensure strategic policies that will elevate Ghana’s sporting landscape.
As Adams prepares for his parliamentary vetting, Sports Ghana extended its best wishes and reaffirmed its readiness to work alongside his administration to achieve positive reforms in Ghana’s sports sector.
