Medeama Sporting Club pays courtesy call on Speaker; requests him to be club patron
Medeama Sporting Club (SC), the winners of the BETpawa Ghana Premier League, paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to present the championship trophy and request him to become the club's Patron.
During the meeting, Speaker Bagbin expressed his joy and gratitude at being chosen as the Patron of Medeama Sporting Club.
He congratulated the Board, Management, Technical Team, and Players for their outstanding achievement in winning the 2022/2023 Betpawa Ghana Premier League.
Speaker Bagbin acknowledged that football has become a business and emphasised the need for increased investments in sports logistics and infrastructure.
The team's visit was accompanied by the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem, Hon. Mireku Duker, the Chairman of Medeama SC, Dr. Anthony Kwesi Aubynn, the club's owner, Mr. Moses Armah, and other officials from Medeama SC.
