The Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Mr Sam Nartey George, has announced a strategic partnership between the Ministry and rising tech innovator Malfred Kwame Kudu, aimed at nurturing and scaling technical skills among Ghanaian youth.

This development follows a series of viral videos showcasing Mr. Kudu’s exceptional craftsmanship in mobile phone technology, which captured widespread public attention earlier in the week.

In a statement, Mr George said he was "delighted to invite and host the amazing tech craftsman" at the Ministry, noting that he was deeply impressed after engaging the young talent personally.

"I was inundated with videos of his sterling work on a mobile phone.

I reached out to him and was pleasantly stunned by his depth of knowledge and ability.

Ghana is truly blessed," the Minister said.

Following their interaction, Mr. George revealed that he had extended an offer on behalf of the government of President John Dramani Mahama, proposing a collaboration that would enable Mr. Kudu to train other young Ghanaians in the field of mobile phone and device engineering.

As part of the initiative, discussions are underway to integrate Mr. Kudu's expertise into a specialised training programme through the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.

The goal is to institutionalize the training process and reach more youth across the country.

“This would allow him to transfer knowledge at scale and help position Ghana as a truly technology-diverse country,” the Minister stated.

“I look forward to a truly mutually beneficial partnership, he stressed
