Pru East: Lord Boam files nomination for 2024 elections
Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, also known as Lord Boam, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Pru East Constituency in the Bono East Region, has officially filed his nomination forms with the Electoral Commission (EC), taking a significant step towards the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The submission of the forms marks a key milestone in Mr Boam's bid to contest the Pru East parliamentary seat, which has long been an NDC stronghold.
The event drew a large crowd of party executives, supporters, and well-wishers who gathered at the EC's district office to show their support.
Arriving at the EC's office with his team, Mr Boam was welcomed by the district officer, who facilitated the nomination process. After a careful review of the forms, Mr Boam signed the documents, officially completing the submission.
The district officer then acknowledged receipt, confirming Mr Boam's candidacy for the upcoming elections.
Following the successful filing, Mr Boam addressed the EC officials, expressing his appreciation for their service.
"We are very grateful this afternoon for your good service to our beloved country Ghana and the people of Pru East Constituency. This election is crucial for all of us," he said.
Mr Boam also raised concerns about irregularities in the voter register and stated the party had petitioned the EC to address these issues amicably.
"We trust your cooperation and want to assure you this is paramount to us as a party," he added.
