Opoku Prempeh touts NPP's commitment to Muslims welfare

Napo introducing Samuel Abu Jinapor

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a passionate appeal to Ghana's Muslim communities to vote for the NPP, describing it as the only party genuinely invested in their welfare and development.

Addressing a large rally in Larabanga in the Savannah Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that the NDC, the opposition party, has shown little regard for Muslim interests, calling it “an abomination” for any Muslim to support a party he believes does not respect their values.

Highlighting the NPP's work in Muslim communities, Dr. Opoku Prempeh called on the people of Damongo to continue their strong support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's Presidential Candidate while standing by their MP, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor.

He noted that the achievements of Mr. Jinapor as Damongo's Parliamentary representative demonstrate the NPP's commitment to improving the lives of all Ghanaians, particularly in the Savannah Region.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh went further, accusing the NDC of removing the iconic Larabanga Mosque from Ghana's currency during former President Jerry John Rawlings’ tenure—a decision he characterized as a sign of disrespect for Ghana’s Muslim heritage.

He argued that this omission exemplifies the NDC's disregard for the values and cultural significance held by Muslim communities in the country.

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Opoku Prempeh called on Muslim voters to stand united with the NPP, asserting that the party offers the best prospects for genuine progress and empowerment for Ghana's Muslim communities.

He urged supporters to rally their families, friends, and communities to vote for the NPP, promising that an NPP victory would bring real change to their lives.

Mr  Samuel Abu Jinapor, MP for Damongo, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the NPP's strides in the Damongo constituency.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to advancing infrastructure and social services in the region and expressed confidence that the NPP would maintain and expand its support in Damongo and the broader Savannah Region.
