Julius Debrah leads Mahama's transition team for smooth handover

John Dramani Mahama, Ghana’s President-elect, has unveiled a team of experienced professionals to oversee the transition process as mandated by the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
The 2024 Transition Team will collaborate with representatives of the outgoing government to ensure an orderly and seamless transfer of power.
The team, comprised of individuals with expertise in finance, governance, and public administration, will be co-chaired by Hon. Julius Debrah. Key members of the team include:
Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey Dr. Callistus Mahama (Member/Secretary) Dr. Valerie Sawyer Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson Hon. Mahama Ayariga Hon. Goosie Tanoh Dr. Edward Omane BoamahIn addition, the President-elect has named Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council to provide strategic guidance throughout the process.
The team’s primary focus will be to facilitate a smooth handover of political power, ensuring continuity in governance while addressing any transitional challenges.
