The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Communications Director Sammy Gyamfi has expressed faith the results of the 2024 US presidential election will be mirrored by the NDC come December 7 when Ghana goes to the polls.

"In other news, a sitting vice president, who was pretending to be a driver’s mate and campaigning on the message of change has been defeated by an experienced driver, who was once described as a 'one term president'," the lawyer wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, November 6.

News from the US indicates former President Donald J. Trump has been reelected to led the country, crushing the chances of Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden's White House mate.

In a subsequent Facebook post, Sammy Gyamfi shared a two-photo collage showing Trump being prayed for by US clergy, and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama in the same position among Ghanaian clergy.

"What does this mean?" Gyamfi captioned the post.

Again, on the same platform, he shared a footage of a pastor making a prediction about Trump's electoral victory despite raging opposition and persecution.

"I saw a party like NDC, in Ghana, celebrating an election - I don't know what that election is for - and I saw the date 10th of December 2024. I saw an announcement being made on 10 December. NDC party, whoever their flagbearer is, let them just pray and walk well - there's light at the end of the tunnel for them," the unidentified pastor declared to his congregation.

John Dramani Mahama is a former President seeking reelection in Ghana to "reset" the economic fortunes of the country. His archrival is President Nana Akufo-Addo's mate and New Patriotic Party flagbearer Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr Bawumia is popular for calling himself the mate – or bus conductor – who desires promotion to receive the steering wheel from his boss, the driver, to drive the country forward into a digitalisation-led prosperity.

Mahama, on the other hand, has been projected by his party as an experienced politician who is tried, tested and trusted.
