Dr. Kwaku Asiedu Nketia, Vice Chairman of the NDC's National Youth Working Committee, has assured the youth of the Bono Region that they will benefit significantly from a John Mahama-led government.

Addressing first-time voters in Dormaa West, East, and Central Constituencies, he emphasized the NDC’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment and creating opportunities in the security services.

Dr. Asiedu Nketia highlighted the NDC’s plan to implement a "24-hour economy" policy, which aims to create over 200,000 jobs in the security sector.

“When we want to recruit youth into the security services, don’t we have qualified youth here to join?” he asked.

He pledged to prioritize the recruitment of Bono Region residents, emphasizing his personal connection to the area.

“I am a youth leader, and with key figures like Sammy Gyamfi, Dr. Opuni, and our National Chairman, all from Bono, we can deliver the opportunities you deserve,” he assured.

Dr. Nketia urged voters to support the NDC, citing past achievements such as providing potable water, schools, clinics, and improved roads in the region.

“President Mahama understands the challenges facing the youth today under the incompetent Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government,” he said.

At a community engagement in Yaw Wusukrom, Dormaa West, Dr. Asiedu Nketia Jr. appealed to cocoa farmers to vote for John Mahama, accusing the NPP government of neglect and exploitation.

He criticized the cancellation of the free fertilizer programme initiated by the NDC and highlighted disparities in cocoa prices between Ghana and neighbouring countries like Togo and Ivory Coast.

“The current cocoa producer price is a total rip-off,” he stated, accusing the Akufo-Addo administration of prioritizing its interests over farmers' welfare.

Dr. Nketia assured farmers that the NDC would restore beneficial programmes and improve the economic conditions of cocoa producers.

Dr. Asiedu Nketia accused the NPP of neglecting Bono despite its natural resources and strategic importance. He cited the lack of development in roads, healthcare, and potable water as evidence of the government’s failure.

He also alleged that the NPP was engaging in vote-buying, urging residents to accept the money but still vote for the NDC.

“The NPP knows they are losing, so they have resorted to sharing money to buy your votes.

Take it—it’s your own money—and vote them out,” he said.

Dr. Asiedu Nketia was accompanied by former MCE for Berekum, Lord Opoku Stephen; MP Vincent Oppong Asamoah; Bono NDC Communication Officer Charles Akowuah; and Bono NDC Youth Organizer Kwaku Rooney.

Together, they rallied support for the NDC’s policies and promised a brighter future under John Mahama’s leadership.
