5 envoys present letters of credence to Akufo-Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has received the Letters of Credence of five Envoys at a ceremony held on Monday, 8th July, 2024 at the Jubilee House, Accra.
The Ambassadors and High Commissioners who presented their Letters of Credence included Norma Aug Sanchez, the Ambassador of the United Mexican States (Mexico), Fortunato Albrinho, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique, Mourad Louhaidia, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
The rest are Mersole Jala Mellejor, Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines resident in Abuja, Nigeria, and Luis Manuel Andino Paiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua resident in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
During the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo congratulated the envoys and warmly welcomed them to the Republic of Ghana and charged them to work assiduously to deepen the bilateral relations between Ghana and their respective countries as well as foster cooperation on the multilateral level.
President Akufo-Addo also assured them of Ghana’s readiness to collaborate and support them with an enabling environment for the discharge of their diplomatic pursuits.
The envoys on their part, extended their profound appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for the warm reception and the acceptance of their Letters of Credence, and assured the President of their commitment to foster cordial relations between their respective countries and Ghana.
Present at the ceremony were senior officials of state from the Presidency and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong (MP).
