President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to unite in building a nation that stands as a global inspiration.

Speaking at the inauguration of the transition team in Accra on Wednesday, 11 December, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the importance of collective effort as Ghana embarks on the process of transferring power to the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The President commended Ghana’s reputation as a stable democracy and called on all stakeholders to uphold the provisions of the Presidential Transition Act, stressing the need for unity and respect for institutional processes.

“Ghana stands out as a beacon of democracy and stability, showcasing the strength of our institutions and the maturity of our people. We must continue to consolidate this hard-earned reputation by adhering strictly to the provisions of the Transition Act,” he stated.

President Akufo-Addo reflected on the progress made under his administration while acknowledging the challenges that remain in advancing the country’s development agenda.

“I call on all Ghanaians to support this process with patience, understanding, and faith in the institutions that underpin our republic. Let us continue to build a nation that serves as an inspiration to others, a nation united in its diversity and freedom, and steadfast in its pursuit of progress,” he added.
