UW/R: Piina SHS Headmaster interdicted by GES over alleged hoarding of school foodstuff

By the directive of the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Adams Mahama Issahaku, Headmaster of Piina Senior High School, has been interdicted in a case of alleged misappropriation of school foodstuff.
According to a letter addressed to Mr Issahaku, dated February 7, 2025, and signed by Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, Regional Director, Upper West Region, the interdiction takes immediate effect "pending the outcome of a full-scale investigation into a case in which food items were found in your official pick-up on your way from Piina SHS to Wa on Thursday, February 6, 2025".
"Kindly note that this directive is a procedural requirement and does not constitute presumption of guilt. You will be duly notified of the outcome of the investigations and any subsequent decisions," the letter noted.
"In view of this, you are requested to handover the administration of the school and all school property in your possession to the Upper West Regional Director of Education, make yourself available to assist with investigations as and when needed and to avoid any action(s) that could compromise the ongoing investigations," the letter instructed.
"For any clarification, kindly contact the regional office during official working hours.
"Counting very much on your cooperation."
