Attorney-General (A-G) Dr. Dominic Ayine has revealed significant landed properties and assets allegedly acquired through questionable financial activities by Mr. Kwabena Adu-Boahene, former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), and his wife, Angela Adjei-Boateng.

Investigations have uncovered multiple high-value properties in prime locations across Ghana and beyond, with deposits suggesting substantial financial misconduct.

No. 2 Stream Part Drive, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – A deposit of $1,000,000 (valued at GHS15,000,000) was made, with verified deposit slips and receipts.

No. 6 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – A deposit of $500,000 was recorded.

No. 7 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA – $200,000 was deposited.

No. 8 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA – An initial deposit of $97,815 was made, with suspicions of additional cash payments completing the transaction.

No. 9 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – A deposit of $270,000 was documented.

No. 10 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – $150,000 was deposited.

Further investigations link Mr. Adu-Boahene to Vertex Properties, a real estate firm that owns 27 houses in Oyarifa, each valued at $295,000, raising additional concerns about the origins of these funds.

Beyond Ghana, authorities have identified two properties in London allegedly connected to the couple, though details on these assets remain undisclosed.

Addressing journalists in Accra on Monday, Dr. Ayine stressed that the magnitude of these acquisitions strongly indicates financial misconduct during Mr. Adu-Boahene’s tenure at the NSB.

“The proceeds from the suspects’ activities were used to acquire significant properties and assets of considerable value both in Ghana and abroad,” Dr. Ayine stated.

Authorities are intensifying investigations into the financial flows and ownership structures associated with Mr. Adu-Boahene and his wife, with efforts underway to recover misappropriated funds and ensure accountability for any financial irregularities.
