VRA Ladies Association pledges support for Obeng-Kenzo’s appointment

The Ladies Association of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has strongly denied media reports suggesting that it disapproves of Ing. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo’s appointment as Acting Chief Executive.
In a statement, the National President of the VRA Ladies Association, Lady Susana Araphua Van-Brocke, firmly dismissed the claims, describing them as baseless and false.
She emphasized that the Association unequivocally distances itself from such unfounded assertions.
Contrary to the reports, the Ladies Association has officially congratulated Ing. Obeng-Kenzo on his new role, expressing full confidence in his leadership.
A nine-member delegation from the Association’s national executive met with the Acting Chief Executive to assure him of their support and reaffirm their commitment to the authority’s success.
Speaking at the meeting, Accra Area President Lady Gloria Tagoe highlighted the Association’s ongoing efforts to empower and upskill women within the VRA, ensuring they are prepared for leadership positions.
She called on Ing. Obeng-Kenzo to support their initiatives.
In response, Ing. Edward Obeng-Kenzo expressed gratitude for the Association’s warm reception and pledged to continue building upon the achievements of his predecessor.
He called on all VRA staff, particularly the Ladies Association, to work together towards achieving the authority’s shared goals and strengthening the institution.
