The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has initiated an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at the Sogakope Customs checkpoint on February 19, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Communication & Public Affairs Department (GRA) and dated February 20, 2025, it was explained: “Officers of the Customs Division stationed at the Sogakope checkpoint received intelligence on a suspected uncustomed Mercedes-Ben E350 sedan being smuggled from Togo into Ghana.
“While attempting to apprehend the vehicle and its occupants, the occupants abandoned the vehicle and started fleeing.
