Kwabena Kwabena on who to marry since ‘God doesn’t choose a wife for anyone’

Despite two failed marriages, music star Kwabena Kwabena has expressed his confidence that “marriage is good”.

He quoted Proverbs 18:22 as buttress.

Speaking to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo, his only caution, however, was: “But if you don’t get the right person [to marry], it’ll be a curse to you.”

“If you don’t get someone who feels for you, loves you and is dedicated to making you better, it’ll be tough,” the Highlife crooner emphasised.

Using the biblical metaphor of ‘a missing rib’ and ‘other half’, Kwabena Kwabena challenged the popular belief spouses were divinely chosen, framing the life-altering decision as an individual’s quest.

“It’s your rib you’re looking for, and it’s difficult… It’s a task. That’s why God doesn’t choose a wife for anyone. You need to find it yourself. It’s an assignment,” the Afraid to Lose You hitmaker asserted.

“In God’s plan, if you find her, and she’s your rib, everything will be perfect,” he encouraged.
