Kwadwo Nkansah, alias Lil Win, has reacted to Martha Ankomah's lawsuit.

In an Instagram (IG) post, Thursday, February 16, 2024, the Kumawood star shared a excerpt from a TV interview John Asiedu Nketia of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) granted Accra-based Joy News.

In said interview, Mr Nketia famously declared: "Any idiot can go to court." He explained this to mean, just because someone has dragged another to court does not automatically make the plantiff right and the defendant guilty. The court has the final say.

Lil Win emphasised the point with a caption: "As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the Ghanaian people the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution."

"Movie is my life," he added, praying, also: "Long live Ghana movie."

Reacting to Martha Ankomah allegedly denigrating rural Ghana movie scene Kumawood for its recent pointless scripts and productions, Lil Win attacked the former, belittling her relevance, claiming she would have amounted to nothing were it not for the funding of rich men, and arguing also, she was not a worthy fit for her GTP ambassadorial deals.

In a writ of summons dated February 14, and signed by the Chief Justice of Ghana, Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo, Lil Win was commanded to appear before court within eight days after service of writ. While Martha was identified as Plantiff, Lil Win was identified as Defendant.

According to Ghanaweb, a copy of the writ available to them also indicated Martha Ankomah sought GHS5,000,000 in damages from Lil Win for defamation. She also sought compensation for reputational damage.
