National Association of Rural Banks holds psychological safety workshop for CEOs and Board Members

The National Association of Rural Banks has organized a two-day workshop on psychological safety for Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Board of Directors of Rural Banks in Sunyani.

The objective of the training was to equip CEOs and Board Members with in-depth knowledge of psychological safety to enhance the Rural Banking industry.

Participants were drawn from the Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, as well as the five Northern Regions.

The Executive Director of the Association of Rural Banks, Solomon Amankwah, emphasized the importance of the training, citing the evolving nature of the banking industry.

He noted that psychological safety training would help CEOs foster a cordial working relationship with employees, creating an environment where workers feel comfortable and valued in their roles.

The Bono and Ahafo Regional President of the Association of Rural Banks, Adjei Tannor, highlighted the positive impact of previous training programmes on Rural Bank management.

He expressed confidence that the psychological safety workshop would further contribute to the growth and stability of the sector.

Felix Nkansah Asare, Administrator for the Association of Rural Banks, commended the efforts of Rural Banks in delivering quality service to customers.

He pointed out that some Rural Banks are outperforming commercial banks in terms of profitability and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The training session underscores the commitment of the Association of Rural Banks to continuous capacity building, ensuring that rural banking institutions remain resilient and competitive in Ghana’s financial landscape.
