'Killing machine' is operating nonstop with more people executed in Iran

Human rights sources reported on March 6 that five prisoners had been executed in Tabriz and Ardabil.
The Islamic Republic's judicial authorities have also executed three people in prisons in Hamedan, Qom, and Qazvin.
According to a report by the Human Rights Activists in Iran, a prisoner identified as Jalal Ashkani from Hamedan was executed by the Islamic Republic's judicial authorities in the city's central prison on the morning of Wednesday, March 6.
Mr. Ashkani's execution was carried out in connection with drug-related crimes. He had been in prison since 2020 and the death sentence was issued by the Hamedan Revolutionary Court.
This human rights organization also reported that on Wednesday morning, another prisoner, identified as Iman Shokrollahzadeh, 42, from Takestan, was executed in Qazvin Prison on charges of "murder."
In addition, the Iranian Human Rights Organization has also reported that a prisoner identified as Qasem Sarabi, 30, a resident of Hassan Khan Castle in Tehran, who had been arrested three years ago on drug-related charges, was executed in Qom Prison by the Islamic Republic's judicial authorities.
According to a report on Thursday, March 6, by the Iranian Human Rights Organization, the executions of four of these individuals in Tabriz and Ardabil prisons were related to drug-related charges.
The human rights organization announced that "Ali Vatankhah, 27, from Parsabad, and Hassan Fathi, 36, from Hashtrood" were executed in Ardabil Prison on Thursday, March 25, and the sentences of "Ramin Alaei, 33, from Tabriz, and Mohammad Iraqi, 26, from Tabriz," who had been in prison for three years, were also carried out in Tabriz Prison on Saturday, March 1.
Also, according to this report, another prisoner named Mohammad Iraqi, who was arrested four years ago on charges of murder and sentenced to death, was executed by judicial authorities in Tabriz Prison on Saturday, March 1.
Official authorities of the Islamic Republic have not yet announced the execution of these citizens.
The Islamic Republic's judicial authorities usually keep the executions of citizens secret and, except in a few cases, do not report or provide statistics on them. However, according to documents collected by independent human rights organizations, the number of executions in Iran ranks first in the world in terms of government violations of the right to life.
Executions by the government in Iran, which human rights activists insist are carried out with the aim of creating fear and terror in society, also include groups such as child defendants and people with mental disabilities.
The issuance and execution of death sentences by the Islamic Republic of Iran's judiciary continues while protests against the death penalty and the "No to the Death Penalty" campaign have intensified inside and outside the country.
Some observers say the Islamic Republic’s killing machine in Iranian prisons continues to operate with greater intensity than before, aiming to instill fear and terror. A sociologist recently announced that “about seven thousand people” are on death row in the Islamic Republic’s prisons in Iran.
