After a series of rigorous screening exercises at the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy over a two-week period – including trial matches against lower-tier sides – the players were selected.
The U-16 is in preparations for the upcoming Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational tournament, showcasing players from Ivory Coast, Togo, Mexico, France, and Brazil, and taking place in May.
Nii Odartey Lamptey, a former Ghana international star, leads the team as Head Coach, with assistance from John Oppong Welbeck, and Awudu Issaka, and Theophilus Daitey, the Welfare Manager.
The Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational tournament is expected to aid the team's development, getting them ready for international assignments.
