Michael Essien receives a UEFA Certificate in Football Management
Michael Essien has recieved a UEFA Certificate in Football Managament from the UEFA Academy.
The former Ghanaian international star had a storied career playing for the Black Stars of Ghana and Chelsea FC of the UK.
On X, he indicated satisfaction with the UEFA CFM programme, having learned about "the beautiful game".
A 9-month programme comprising 10 e-learning and three face-to-face senimars, the UEFA CFM covers football development, law, marketing, sponsorship, media and PR, event management, etc.
In an attached picture, he stood in front of a large Football Club Nordsjælland (FCN) crest.
"Finally done with my UEFA certificate in football management journey. Thanks all for the help. I keep learning about the beautiful game," the English Premier League (EPL) icon wrote, adding football, notepad and ballpen emojis.
Essien received a UEFA License A coaching certificate in 2023.
Currently, he works as an individual talent manager for the Danish Superliga team FCN, mentoring young players with his wealth of experience and tactical insight.
