Kofi Adams, Linda Ocloo and others to grace Independence Armwrestling Challenge at the Center Point Mall on Saturday

Sports & Recreational Minister, Kofi Iddie Adams and Madam Linda Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister and others will be the guests for the 2025 Independence Armwrestling Challenge in Accra.
Other dignitaries expected to patronize the show as top guests include MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, MP for Brekum West, Dickson Kyere Duah, Dr. Bello Bitigu, Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, the Ghana Armwrestling Board and many others from the corporate institutions.
The four-nation event, scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2025, would commemorate Ghana's Independence Celebration, the Ghana Month and the Golden Arms (Ghana National Team) excelling show at the 13th Africa Games winning 41 medals.
Pullers from Nigeria, Benin, and Togo, together with the Ghanaian contingent will compete in an electrifying epic display of strength and skill at the Centre Point Mall in Accra.
Team Ghana, led by world champion Grace Minta have been in camp in the past few weeks preparing to compete in various weight categories for the ultimate bragging rights.
Wisdom Abromekyi, Mabel Yeboah, Edward Asamoah, Joseph Tabel, Daniel Acquah and Florence Boakye.
Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, President of Ghana and Africa Armwrestling has said the championship forms part of the federation’s line-up in celebrating Ghana’s success at the continental games and preparation towards upcoming international events.
"Armwrestling is a household sport and everybody loves it.
It has become the sport of choice.
We made history at the Africa Games for the first time and Ghanaians have since shown so much love for the sport,” he said.
He urged Ghanaians to come in their numbers to support Ghana’s Armwrestling team, Golden Arms as they go in search of victory once again.
