You're the future President – Bonwirehene tells Alan
The Chief of Bonwire, Nana Bobie Ansah II, has hailed Independent Presidential candidate Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen as Ghana’s future President.
During a courtesy call by Mr. Kyerematen at his palace on October 3, 2024, Nana Bobie Ansah II, in his welcome address, expressed confidence in Kyerematen’s ability to lead the country, particularly in managing the economy.
"I thank you all, and I also thank the future president of the Republic," he said, referring to Mr. Kyerematen.
Addressing the people gathered at the palace, the chief emphasized that he had known Alan Kyerematen for a long time and was convinced of his capability to steer the nation's affairs.
He highlighted Kyerematen’s contributions to Ghana’s economic growth during his tenure as Minister of Trade under the Kufuor administration, particularly through the Presidential Special Initiative (PSI), which boosted local industries.
"His PSI gave priority to local industries and stimulated economic growth.
We were all part of it, and most of the chiefs embraced it," Nana Bobie Ansah II recalled.
He further noted the significant economic improvements during Kyerematen’s time as Trade Minister, pointing out how banks actively sought out individuals to offer loans due to the flourishing business environment.
"During his time as a minister, we witnessed a lot of progress, where people were chased to take loans from banks," the chief stressed.
Nana Bobie Ansah II urged Ghanaians to support Alan Kyerematen in the upcoming December 7 polls, adding, "I know what he can do, so I plead with Ghanaians to look at his works and vote for him."
Alan Kyerematen is currently on a 19-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region.
On the previous day, he visited the Manhyia Palace, where the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, also endorsed his Great Transformational Plan (GTP) as a solution to Ghana’s challenges.
