Man arrested for vandalizing vehicles at Parliament House

A yet-to-be-identified man has been arrested for vandalizing several vehicles at the premises of Parliament in Accra.
According to Accra 100.5 FM’s Parliamentary correspondent the suspect stormed the car park wielding a hoe and began smashing the windshields and windows of multiple vehicles, including Land Cruisers.
Security personnel at Parliament quickly intervened, apprehending the man before he could cause further damage.
He was subsequently handed over to police officers stationed at the facility.
While being restrained, the suspect was reportedly heard saying, “Father, have mercy on them; they do not know what they are doing.”
The owners of the damaged vehicles have yet to be identified, and the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
