Sophia Akuffo, Prof. Oquaye submit constitutional reform proposals to CRC

Former Chief Justice and Council of State member, Sophia Akuffo, along with former Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye, have presented a set of constitutional reform proposals to the Constitution Review Committee(CRC).
The proposals, developed by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), cover all chapters of the 1992 Constitution and seek to address key areas requiring amendment to strengthen governance and democracy in Ghana.
The submission marks a significant step in the ongoing constitutional review process, with stakeholders pushing for reforms to enhance transparency, accountability, and the overall efficiency of the country's governance system.
The Constitution Review Committee is expected to examine the proposals and engage with relevant stakeholders before making recommendations for potential amendments.
