Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa accepts ORAL Chair position 'with profound sense of duty'
"I humbly accept to chair this ORAL Team with a profound sense of duty, integrity and patriotism," North Tongu MP, Samuel O. Ablakwa has said.
"We are grateful to President-elect H.E. John Mahama for the confidence reposed in us. For God and Country. Ghana First [Ghana flag and prayer emojis]," the Facebook post concluded.
Mr Ablakwa was reacting to a statement that recognised him as the lead for the highly-anticipated Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) proposed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader and President-elect John Dramani Mahama as an anti-corruption drive.
Mr Ablakwa has called the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Akufo-Addo has a "loot-o-cracy" which will be subjected to Mr Mahama's promised ORAL.
He told TV3 in a post-election interview ORAL will be informed by adequate investigations, and funds recovered redirected into productive ventures for the country.
