President Mahama nominates 10 individuals for regional ministers

President John Mahama has submitted 10 names for 10 regional ministerial offices to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, for parliamentary approval.
The first batch of regional ministers, the list was contained in a statement from the presidency dated Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
See the list, including three women, below:
1. Northern – Ali Adolf John
2. Oti – John Kwadwo Gyapong
3. Volta – James Gunu
4. Eastern – Mrs Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey
5. North-East – Ibrahim Tia
6. Ashanti – Dr Frank Amoakohene
7. Upper East – Akamugri Donatus Atanga
8. Ahafo – Charity Gardiner
9. Savannah – Salisu Bi-Awuribe
10. Greater Accra – Linda Ocloo
There are six outstanding regions, given the list above, and they are the Western, Western North, Central, Bono, Bono East, and Upper West regions.
