Opoku-Agyemang urges Ghanaians to vote out NPP over economic hardships
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to vote out the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government due to the economic difficulties facing the nation.
Speaking at a community engagement in Akokwaa within the Agona East Constituency as part of her campaign tour in the Central Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged voters to back the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, as the leader with the experience and vision to rescue Ghana from its current challenges.
She highlighted the NDC’s proposed policies and programmes, including the 24-Hour Economy initiative, the Women’s Development Bank, the National Apprenticeship Programme, and the Big Push infrastructure agenda. According to her, these initiatives will bring much-needed relief and set the country on a path to recovery.
“Voting out the NPP on December 7 is a call to national duty,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized, urging first-time voters and the general electorate to turn out in large numbers to support the NDC.
She praised Mr. Mahama’s leadership, describing him as a visionary committed to the welfare of Ghanaians and capable of steering the nation toward economic stability and development.
The event served as a rallying point for NDC supporters and a platform to outline the party’s solutions to Ghana’s pressing economic issues.
