Napo draws massive crowd in walk through Makola market
The former Energy Minister and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 general elections, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as "Napo," received a rousing welcome from traders and the public as he embarked on a walk through the bustling streets of Makola Market in Accra.
The event, which took place on Monday September 16, 2024 saw Napo moving through various key sections of the market, engaging with traders and shoppers alike.
Starting from Rawlings Park, Napo’s route took him through Metrolane, China Lane, and Tarzan, before reaching Kantamanto. The walk culminated in a grand address at Drug Lane, Okaishie, where a large crowd of traders and onlookers had gathered to hear him speak.
The energy and excitement were palpable as traders greeted Napo with enthusiasm, cheering and showing their support.
The walk, which caused a significant buzz in the market, saw the streets packed with traders and supporters eager to interact with him.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, known for his connection with grassroots supporters, took the opportunity to address the crowd at Drug Lane.
He expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated his commitment to policies that would benefit traders and the general public.
