NDC commiserate with Haruna Iddrisu over mother’s demise

Leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have extended their condolences to the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, following the passing of his mother, Hajia Mariama Amidu.
Among those who visited the family to offer their sympathies were Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North, Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, former NDC National Chairman, Alhaj Professor Hamza Adam, and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, MP for Tamale Central.
Several party executives and other leaders who could not visit in person conveyed their heartfelt condolences through messages and online platforms, joining many in mourning Hajia Mariama.
Hajia Mariama Amidu passed away after a brief illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Her burial, conducted according to Islamic traditions, took place in Tamale shortly after her demise.
The family has announced a 4-Day Adua (prayer gathering) in her memory, scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Party members, sympathizers, and well-wishers are expected to attend the event to honour her life and legacy.
