Joshua Sika Nartey, along with members of grassroots organizations affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has publicly commended the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, Martin Ayisi ESQ, for his impactful contributions under the current administration.

In a press statement, the groups including National Soldiers for John Mahama, Elections Have Consequences Movement, and Ghetto for John Mahama praised Lawyer Ayisi for his dedication to the “Reset Agenda” and his efforts to elevate the operations and visibility of the Commission both locally and internationally.

They highlighted several key achievements under his leadership, including the near-completion of the Kumasi office by June 2025, the construction of state-of-the-art office complexes in Akim Oda, Bibiani, Bole, Damang, Kyebi, and Tamale, and renovations of staff residences in Bolgatanga, Tarkwa, Prestea, and Wa.

The statement also noted the overseas training of 50 grassroots mine inspectors at prestigious institutions such as the Colorado School of Mines and Curtin University. These efforts, the group claims, mark a significant leap in professionalism and inclusivity within Ghana’s mining sector.

Beyond his professional work, Lawyer Ayisi was lauded for his responsiveness to grassroots concerns and generosity towards underprivileged NDC members. The group emphasized that his support for the party’s base should be recognized by both President John Mahama and the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.

Echoing President Mahama’s 2024 campaign call for “experience, not experiment,” they described Lawyer Ayisi as “one of the best CEOs” in the current government and warned detractors against any attempts to remove him.

“We are sending a strong signal to some criminals calling for his removal to desist from such acts, otherwise we will come for them,” the statement concluded.

The group has urged all party members, stakeholders in the mining sector, and the general public to rally behind Lawyer Ayisi to make the Minerals Commission “second to none.”
