The National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Samuel Sarpong, has urged Ghanaians to be cautious of what he describes as deceptive tactics by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the December 7 elections approach.

Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM's Citizen Show with Nana Bobie Ansah on Thursday, November 21, 2024, Dr. Sarpong cautioned voters not to be misled by the NPP’s alleged broken promises and misinformation aimed at securing re-election.

Dr. Sarpong, the former Ashanti Regional Minister criticized the NPP’s record, stating that many promises from the last election cycle remain unfulfilled, including the controversial National Cathedral project.

"They promised to build a National Cathedral, but we’ve only seen $58 million sunk without a structure to show for it.

This is who we’re dealing with in this election," he said, emphasizing the need for vigilance.

He further stated that the NDC’s leadership would not stand by and allow the NPP to “sway the electorate using lies,” underscoring his commitment to a transparent campaign and urging voters to focus on the NDC’s vision for change under John Dramani Mahama.

Highlighting the country’s 14% unemployment rate, Dr. Sarpong noted that the NPP’s pledges to create jobs for Ghana’s youth had fallen short.

“The NDC will not let Ghanaians down,” he affirmed, adding that the party’s executives are dedicated to ensuring a successful outcome for the NDC’s Presidential Candidate in the December elections, he said.

We are  serious about this election to save Ghanaians, he posited
