Mahama is a fixer - Edem Agbana touts
The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ketu North Constituency, Edem Agbana has hailed former President John Dramani Mahama as "the fixer," emphasising his ability to address Ghana's current economic and governance challenges.
According to him, Mr Mahama possesses the necessary experience and vision to restore the nation to a path of stability and growth.
He noted that Mahama's previous tenure demonstrated a commitment to infrastructure development, social programme, and good governance, positioning him as the ideal candidate to lead the country once again.
Agbana's remarks come at a time when Ghana is facing significant economic hardships, including rising inflation, unemployment, and a struggling currency.
Speaking at a youth townhall meeting at the Ho Technical University on Thursday, August 15, Mr Agban pointed to Mr Mahama's record during his presidency, particularly his management of crises, such as the energy crisis (dumsor) that plagued the country.
Agbana argued that Mr Mahama's approach to problem-solving and his ability to make tough decisions under pressure earned him the title of "fixer."
He believes that under Mahama's leadership, the country can rebound from its current challenges.
Mr Agbana also highlighted Mahama's vision for the future, which focuses on creating a more sustainable and equitable economy. He noted that Mahama has outlined plans to invest in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, while also prioritising job creation and youth empowerment.
He believes that Mahama's forward-thinking policies will not only address the immediate challenges facing the nation but also lay the foundation for long-term development.
“Come December 7, the Ghanaian youth will go out and vote for the fixer. They will vote for the leader who will introduce the National Apprenticeship Programme.”
“So that the young people in the Volta Region and the young people across this country who may w at to acquire some skills and earn a living for themselves can find some hope. The fixer is here. Young people will go and vote for the leader who will cancel the 10% betting tax,” he said.
