MFC decries NPP's bribery of supporters
The Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) has strongly condemned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly attempting to sway youth support away from Alan Kyerematen's Movement for Change by offering financial incentives.
In a press release issued Monday, April 22, 2024, NAWSAC expressed deep concern over what they perceived as the NPP's unethical tactics and urged young people not to succumb to monetary inducements.
Luther-King Junior, the convener of NAWSAC, underscored the disillusionment felt by many youths towards both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) due to what they view as manipulative tactics.
He emphasised that NAWSAC members remain steadfast in their support for Alan Kyerematen's leadership.
The group also expressed incredulity at the NPP's apparent belief that financial incentives could sway young people, describing it as indicative of the party's misunderstanding of the youth's priorities and convictions.
Moreover, NAWSAC emphasised that the youth are no longer willing to be taken for granted by either the NPP or the NDC.
They urged political actors to recognise that mere token gestures such as poster-sticking and noise-making are insufficient to undermine the youth's determination and commitment to their cause.
