'It's a major disappointment!'-- Otchere- Darko quits local politics, says NPP doesn't even recognise its own achievements

Mr Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has said he is very disappointed in his own party, the governing New Patriotic Party, for failing to acknowledge its own achievements.
The situation, President Nana Akufo-Addo's cousin admits, makes him so frustrated that he has decided to quit local politics.
“I have retired from domestic politics,” Mr Otchere-Darko told Asaase Radio in an interview.
“I get somehow frustrated by the narratives, and the big disappointment I have is with the governing New Patriotic Party itself".
"It is the lack of recognition of the work that they have done", he complained.
"For me, it’s a major disappointment", Mr Otchere-Darko noted, adding: "There is one thing we must admit: 2022 was extremely difficult. 2021 to 2022 were extremely difficult."
“You know when there are crises, there are people who benefit from crisis, but I don’t know who benefitted from the crisis of 2022". \
"The banks suffered, retailers suffered, manufacturers suffered, I mean it was everywhere", Mr Otchere-Darko added.
