Economist Bernard Oduro Takyi has taken proactive steps to shape the party's electoral strategy for the upcoming 2024 elections.

In a bid to secure victory for the main opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr Takyi announced the adoption of 13 key constituencies across the country, accompanied by a comprehensive support package aimed at enhancing the party's campaign efforts.

The selected constituencies include Sunyani West, Sunyani East, and Berekum West in the Bono Region, Mpohor in the Western Region, Dome-Kwabenya in Accra, Asunafo North in Ahafo, Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North Region, Mfantseman in the Central Region, Dormaa East in the Bono Region, Techiman South in the Bono East Region, Essikado Ketan in the Western Region, Zabzugu, and Tatali in the Northern Region.

Mr Takyi's support package includes a significant cash injection of GHS10,000 to each adopted constituency, to be disbursed promptly upon the launch of their 2024 parliamentary campaigns.

This financial assistance bolsters grassroots mobilisation and facilitates effective campaign operations within these constituencies.

In addition to financial support, Mr Takyi spearheads stakeholder engagements in each adopted constituency, fostering dialogue and collaboration with key community leaders, opinion-makers, and party members.

These engagements harness local insights, rally support, and consolidate the party's presence on the ground.

Media engagements are also a key aspect of Takyi's strategy, as he orchestrates targeted outreach campaigns to amplify the NDC's message and platform within each constituency.

Through strategic media appearances, interviews, and publicity efforts, Mr Takyi aims to garner public attention, sway undecided voters, and reinforce the party's electoral narrative.

Moreover, Mr Takyi's support extends to grassroots-level community engagement initiatives, fostering direct interaction with residents, addressing local concerns, and cultivating a sense of ownership and allegiance towards the NDC's electoral agenda.

Recently, communities in the Mfantsiman constituency benefitted from a grassroots engagement on the importance of voting for the NDC in the upcoming general election.

With Mr Takyi's astute leadership and commitment to grassroots empowerment, the NDC is poised to mount a formidable electoral campaign.

Leveraging strategic partnerships, financial support, and community-driven mobilisation efforts, the party aims to secure victory in the 2024 elections.
