Dec 7 polls: Oppong Nkrumah outlines 6 reasons to vote for NPP's Bawumia
The Works & Housing Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has outlined six reasons the electorate, especially the youth, must cast their vote in support of the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
He spoke via a newly unveiled self-named YouTube channel.
Oppong Nkrumah cited former President John A. Kufour's capitation grant and President Nana Akufo-Addo's Free Senior High School policy to say the NPP believed in investing in young people and had an unmatched record in the education sector. He said Dr Bawumia was surely going to continue that legacy.
He said Dr Bawumia had a robust plan to create employment to benefit "up to about four million Ghanaian youth during his tenure as president". He buttressed by stating Agenda 111 alone, which "will create 75,000 health-based jobs" and "another 75,000 non-health jobs," was the vice president's idea.
The Former Information Minister noted Dr Bawumia's belief that "digitalisation is tied to economics," adding the vice president had "rolled out a programme to make Ghana a digital state" to bring ease and convenience to multiple sectors and areas of the economy and life including health, transportation, finance, services, and telecommunications, among others.

Ghana goes to the polls on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Dr Bawumia’s top contender is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader and former President John Mahama.
