Dec. 7 polls: NDC's running mate kicks off campaign tour in Upper West Region
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, will begin a two-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region on Tuesday, as she seeks to rally support for NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and the party’s Parliamentary Candidates ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections.
As part of her tour, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is expected to engage with voters in several key constituencies, including Wa Central, Lambussie, Nandom, Lawra, and Sissala.
She will share the NDC’s vision and outline the party’s commitment to addressing issues affecting residents, such as education, employment, and women’s economic empowerment.
Her tour of the Upper West Region will conclude on Wednesday, after which she will proceed to the Northern Region on Thursday to continue her campaign efforts.
This visit follows Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s recent tours in the North East and Savannah Regions, where she called on voters to support Mr. Mahama and the NDC to “fix the mess” she claims has been created by the current Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.
Emphasizing the NDC’s plans to improve education and create jobs, she urged voters to support Mr. Mahama as a leader committed to sustainable development and the well-being of all Ghanaians.
