Dec. 7 polls: Kofi Kasu throws weight behind rival Kofi Kpotosu for NDC victory in Ho Central seat

Parliamentary aspirant Delali Kofi Kasu has declared utmost support for the Ho Central parliamentary candidate (PC) – Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu – donating an undisclosed sum of money and 50 bags of sachet water to aid his campaign.

Kofi Kasu lost the PC status in the constituency to Kofi Kpotosu during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries earlier in the year.

In a bid to rally support for the Mr Kofi Kpotosu, Mr Kofi Kasu pledged to take up feeding of polling agents in the Klefe ward and sponsor a ward rally in Klefe on Sunday, December 1, 2024, to climax campaign activities, mobilising the base of the party to secure a one-touch victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) its flagbearer and Ho Central PC.

Making the presentation, Mr Kofi Kasu called on all to be resolute and not be complacent. He assured victory beckoned and all must continue with the hard work and sacrifices until the party's flagbearer and PCs were declared winners.

“We want an overwhelming working majority in Parliament so let us remain focused till the end," he noted.

Mr Kofi Kasu appealed to well-meaning Ghanaians to support the NDC party and its PCs with whatever resources they could available, appealing to all eligible voters to vote for former President John Mahama to bring relieve to the suffering masses.

“John Mahama remains the true hope for changing the economic downturn due to his enormous experience," he proclaimed.

On his part, the PC Richmond Edem Kpotosu thanked Delali Kofi Kasu for his kind gesture, asserting the victory of the NDC in the 2024 general elections was certain. He impressed on his audience everybody’s vote counted, underling everybody had to come on board.

Mr Kpotosu expressed optimism about winning and retaining the Ho Central seat for NDC with 60 per cent votes.

Meanwhile, he has also made a donation of three butterfly sewing machines to the Ho Central Prison Vocational and Technical Training Center during his tour, and again donated 20 plastic chairs to the Ho Zongo, with an unspecified amount of money. Again, he donated 5 chairs to the Tokokoe Police Station to aid their daily activities.

He promised to do more when given the mandate to represent the people of Ho central in the Parliament.

The beneficiaries pledged their support for the PC, noting they would ensure he won power because he had demonstrated his care for human beings regardless of political background and differences.
