Bawumia campaign accuses Mahama of being out of touch with current affairs
Mr Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Communications for the Bawumia for President 2024 campaign, has taken aim at former President John Dramani Mahama, accusing him of being out of touch with the realities in Ghana.
Mr Aboagye's comments come in response to remarks made by Mahama, which he claims show a lack of awareness of ongoing developments in the country.
Mr Aboagye stated that Mahama seems to be "dozing and sleeping," which, in his view, explains why the former President appears unaware of the success of the Free SHS policy, which has been implemented across the country.
Mr Aboagye made these claims in a Facebook post on October 17, 2024.
He also mocked Mahama’s past controversial remarks about going to the bank at 2 a.m. and playing football at 1 a.m., suggesting that these comments further highlight how disconnected the former President is from current affairs.
"To hear him talk about someone sleeping is very rich," Mr Aboagye said, adding, "Someone wakes him up—this is 2024."
