Asiedu Nketia accuses NPP of campaign sabotage with doctored video
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of circulating a doctored video intended to damage his campaign.
In the video, the NDC Chairman is allegedly heard saying that an NDC government would cancel the Free SHS policy if they returned to power.
However, Mr. Asiedu Nketia claims the video has been altered to misrepresent his statements.
According to Mr. Asiedu Nketia, the original footage, captured by media covering the NDC tour in Ahafo Ano North, actually shows him commending the Free SHS policy.
He clarified that the NDC, if elected, plans to end the double-track system and enhance the feeding programme for students, rather than abolishing Free SHS itself.
Addressing supporters at a rally in Agogo in the Ashanti Region, Mr Asiedu Nketia alleged that the NPP is using such tactics to tarnish his image and undermine his campaign in the Ashanti Region.
He emphasized, however, that the NDC’s campaign team remains resolute and that their support in the region continues to grow despite these attempts.
