The Regional Executives of Movement for Change (MFC) from the North East and Upper East Regions have launched a significant outreach, engaging chiefs, elders, youth, and women’s groups to promote their policies ahead of the December 7 general elections.

Led by North East Regional Anchor, Ali Zakaria, and Upper East Regional Anchor, Nasir Rayan, along with other party supporters, the team paid a courtesy visit to the Divisional Chief of Walewale, Duurana Mahami Abudu III, at Duurana Palace.

This visit served to formally introduce the MFC team and foster dialogue with local leaders.

During his address, Mr. Ali Zakaria highlighted the perceived shortcomings of Ghana’s two main political parties, the NDC and NPP, noting that despite over 30 years in power, both parties have failed to resolve the country’s economic challenges.

He positioned Alan Kyerematen, the MFC’s Presidential Candidate, as the ideal choice for change, emphasizing his vision to create jobs and foster an enabling environment for Ghanaians, especially the youth.

Upper East Regional Anchor, Nasir Rayan, echoed similar sentiments, criticizing the reliance on foreign resources despite Ghana’s abundance of natural and mineral wealth.

"When a fish starts to rot, it begins from the head, not the tail,” he remarked, alluding to his belief that leadership change is needed.

Mr Rayan also highlighted Kyerematen's achievements as Minister of Trade and Industry, noting his role in establishing several factories, including an automobile assembly plant, as evidence of his commitment to job creation.

The Divisional Chief of Walewale, Duurana Mahami Abudu III, commended Alan Kyerematen for his longstanding humility and kindness, urging him to maintain these values.

He reminded the team that “it is the Almighty God who bestows kingship, not humans.”

Movement for Change aims to continue engaging local leaders and community groups to build support for their campaign and Alan Kyerematen’s vision for Ghana.
