The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Andrews Augustus Nana Kwasi, has challenged Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, to provide evidence of public toilet facilities he pledged to construct.

During a campaign stop in Achiase as part of the NDC's National Chairman's tour across the Ashanti region, the Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman expressed concern over what he described as unmet promises from Dr. Bawumia, dating back to the 2016 general elections.

According to Nana Kwasi, nearly every community they visited expressed a pressing need for public toilet facilities, indicating that the Vice-President’s promise remains largely unfulfilled.

He urged Dr. Bawumia to refrain from what he called "spreading falsehoods" in his campaign, stressing that residents in the Ashanti region would not be swayed by unkept promises.

In his address, the Ashanti Regional NDC chairman encouraged party members to remain vigilant and safeguard their votes in the upcoming December 7 general elections, underscoring the importance of ensuring a clear victory for NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

He added an international dimension to his remarks, suggesting that a victory for Donald Trump in the United States could positively influence the outcome of Ghana's elections.

Nana Kwasi expressed optimism in Mr. Mahama’s chances, stating his belief that the NDC would secure a decisive win in December.
